Hey everyone, it’s Emy Hall taking over autocomplete for my man Kyle as he takes some well deserved time off for a few weeks.
Now unless you’ve completely avoided the internet this week, and I wouldn’t blame you if you did.
You probably saw the leaked photos of the Ford Bronco and the Broncos sport Force has teased us with the next generation Bronco for going on two years now.
And while we don’t have confirmation from the company that these leaks are the real deal, the virtual staff is pretty confident that this is what we’ll see when the two vehicles debut.
In a few weeks.
Now let’s start with that baby Bronco looking to enter the SUV segment and Yo, I really like it.
I mean it looks to be a boxy little Jeep Cherokee fighter and hopefully we’ll have some of the Cherokees offered chops.
Mean don’t laugh.
I’ve given the Cherokee off road and friend all wheel drive platform.
It’s pretty tough.
But I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the eerie similarities, some of the older Land Rover products.
I mean, Good Lord, that thing could almost be a twin to the LR three from 10 years ago.
But of course it’s the big Bronco that most of us are excited about.
From the photo it looks like the doors and the top are removable as God intended with a two door and a four door option.
And holy hell are those nitto tires from the factory.
I’m not 100% sure on that one but they are still Certainly quite meaty, wrapped around what looked to be 17 or 18 inch bead lock or at least bead lock look wheels.
So off road folks should be able to deflate those tires for a bigger footprint on the dirt without fear of the tire coming off the wheel.
We don’t have confirmation on power trains yet, but word on the street is that the bronco will get the [UNKNOWN] 2.3 liter inline four cylinder engine from the Ranger and a 10 speed automatic.
Now some folks around the water cooler are also chatting about a seven speed manual which would be amaze balls.
But personally, I’d like to see the high output V six from the Raptor in the big Bronco, but that might just be a pipe dream I’m afraid.
It’s great to see Ford really coming out of the gate swinging here giving the Jeep Wrangler and the Cherokee runs for their money.
A prototype Type has already raced the Baja 1000, which is one of the most grueling offered races on the planet, and I fully expect it to dominate the trails when it gets into drivers hands.
Ford could have just gone ahead and did what Chevrolet did with the new Trailblazer and offered a soft family style SUV Instead it’s given us something that promises to be able to tackle all that rough stuff with ease.
This has been our take on the upcoming Ford Bronco and Bronco Sports.
If you can pick up what I’m throwing down, go ahead and like and subscribe so you won’t miss a single Autocomplete video coming at you twice a week.
This is Emme Hall reminding you as always to keep it dirty.
